Pecan Pie
|
Ingredients, crust
1 ½ c. flour
½ c. butter
1 ½ Tbs sugar
½ tsp salt
1 egg yolk
1 Tbs heavy cream
|
Method, crust
- combine flour, butter, sugar, salt
- Add egg yok, cream
- Add a little water to clump dough
- wrap in plastic, chill in fridge
- Butter 9 inch spring-form pan
- roll chilled pastry to fit bottom and 1 ¼ inch up sides
return to fridge

Ingredients, filling
3 eggs
1 c. sugar
½ c Agave Nectar
½ c. water
1 Tbs butter, softened
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. whole pecans
|
Method, filling
- Mix together all ingredients except pecans
- Add chopped pecans into mix
- Pour into chilled pastry
- Arrange whole pecans on top
- Bake 350º for 50-60 min
- Turn off oven, let sit in oven 10-15 min more
- Remove from oven, let cool
